I bought a new server :) I'm sure you'll notice a great speed improvement as it's now hosted at www.aperian.com rather than on the sorry excuse for a cable modem that I used to have.

Just got back from LA where I spent a week doing some work for www.repcheck.com.  Had quite a fun time even though I worked hard.  Go check out the site.

Created the new files script for www.highend3d.com - I'm quite proud of how effeciently everything is handled. I took it from 30 database tables and 200+ scripts down to one table and about 15 files.  80 hours of work and the quality shows :)

Just got back from Cancun with my friend Charles and his stepdad. Had a great time while we were there - the water was nice, the people were nice and the food was good.  Spent the whole time on Isla Mujeres which is a small island east of Cancun proper.  We stayed at the Hotel Rocamar and had a room facing the ocean. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're going to Isla Mujeres at all (make sure you get a room facing the ocean though)!

The conference went quite well aside from some technical glitches from the people we leased the net connection from.  The Venetian is a great hotel - good food at the conference, good restaurants inside, awesome rooms too.  The pool/hottub closed at 8pm (what's with this?!) so I was never able to relax there.  Quite a lot of work helping to run the conference, but overall it was worth it!

I'll be attending the 2000 Spring Professional Active Server Pages Developer's Conference at the Venitian in Las Vegas from April 23-28. I won't be speaking at this one, but I'll be on staff, so if you need help with anything just look for the guy with the goatee!

Well, I did it again :)  I got first place individual at UIL Regionals.  The test was ridiculously hard, I won with a 113/200.  I will be putting that test and the one I got a perfect score on up on the website soon - you´ll be able to take them, get a score and see why the right answer are right. UIL State is May 6th, so I´ll let you know how I did then :) This weekend is TCEA State in Houston, so that should be a blast :)

What a day.  I went to the UIL District meet in Dripping Springs today to compete in the Computer Science event.  I ended up making a PERFECT score of 200 on the test, answering 40/40 questions in 45 minutes. I am the first person EVER from Lake Travis to get a 200 on ANY UIL CompSci test in the 9 years our school has been competing in the event.  WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

With my individual win and the LT team win I will be going to UIL Regionals in San Antonio on April 24th to compete in both the individual and team CompSci events. Wish me and the team luck! :D

I was a bit disappointed by not winning the South by Southwest website competition category that cues.com was in, as I think that more revenue has been generated by my site than by PDI, but oh well. Next year...

Well, the prototype for my site is up. For now you need a 4.0 or above browser, but I might redo the site to make it compatible with 3.0 browsers.  Let me know your thoughts on this.
